Ascaso Steel Uno 'Special Edition' Espresso Machine Brushed Stainless

A sleek new offering from Ascaso, the Steel Uno 'Special Edition' Espresso Machine Brushed Stainless is a small brass boiler that holds as much as 225cc and is equipped with a 57mm portafilter grouphead and handle. The machine features a three-way solenoid valve that automatically relieves the pressure in the grouphead after extraction but will not dry the puck like other Ascaso models. However, this model is excellent for E.S.E. espresso coffee pods as it is designed to fit in smaller home and office environments. Coffee enthusiasts will enjoy preparing coffee as it only takes 30-60 seconds for the machine to switch from coffee mode to steam mode upon depressing the steam switch in. The steam switch can be depressed after steaming milk and the steam knob can be rotated to the on position, automatically activating the pump to let out the hot water and bring down the temperature of the boiler.

• Removable from the top of the machine, the water reservoir has a horizontal metal bar on top to hold two hoses--the longer one is the intake hose with a particle filter on one end and the short hose ends at the metal bar and serves as the air release valve exit tube. An additional water softener can be purchased but the particle filter needs to be removed from the longer hose if this is used. To avoid damage to the heating element, the water reservoir has a cut-off switch that automatically determines water levels and turns off the heating element and pump if water levels get to a minimum.

• Located directly over the brass grouphead, the brass boiler can handle up to 225cc.
• The front panel contains a gauge that reads the temperature range of the boiler and allows the user to adjust the temperature range of the coffee grind.

• The steam wand is mounted on a swivel to allow easy rotation over a 20 oz steaming pitcher on a counter or placement over drip tray. The machine is also equipped with a frothing aid attachment to froth milk for cappuccinos and a passive cup warmer with guardrail.
