We like the Accademia because it has a 7 button programmable beverage selection. This means you can make a wide variety of beverages with this machine, and also program each individual beverage to your tastes. Programmable means that you can control beverage strength and volume as well as all milk parameters (e.g. normal, minimum, maximum or no froth). The detachable milk system allows you to make cappuccinos, lattes, and machiattos, and because it's detachable you may keep any leftover milk in the refrigerator. The milk system also has automated cleaning and descaling cycles in place, so no more cleaning the milk frother. We also like the removable brew group for easy cleaning, just remove the brew group and run it under water in your sink to clean. The Accademia uses a Mavea Filter to prevent scale build up.
