Posh Portage New House Coffee Line

Posh Portage just launched its very own line of Gourmet Coffee and the purpose of this post is to explain why I believe we have a unique process of roasting our coffee, which allows us to offer our customers a superior coffee roast than anyone else out there.

The Beans

The first step in the process to making quality gourmet coffee is finding the right coffee beans. All of Posh Portage Gourmet Coffee is selected from only the finest, highest grade arabica coffee beans from around the world.

The Roasting

What really sets Posh Portage apart from other gourmet coffees is our unique coffee roasting process. The difference is in our one of a kind roaster and our one of a kind roastmaster.

At Posh Portage we roast our own coffee beans using a Probat Coffee Roaster that was manufactured in Germany around 1929, and after World War II it was brought to America where it has been roasting coffee beans ever since.  It now resides in sunny Long Beach, California where it has been filling the air with freshly roasted coffee since  1976. The Probat Roaster can only roast up to 100 pounds per hour, yet it roasts about 10,000 pounds of beans per month.

Our highly trained and experienced roast masters are some of the most knowledgeable in the industry. Our Roastmaster has been featured in the media such as History Channel’s Modern Marvels episode all about coffee. Posh Portage’s roastmasters have over 30 years experience in roasting coffee beans.

Posh Portage’s efficient roasting process allows us to get the coffee to the customer within a week of when it was roasted. Coffee lovers know that this is vital because coffee will lose 25% of its flavor two weeks after roasting. We are able to ship the freshest coffee to our customer, which means you get the best flavor from your coffee.

Currently we are offering an espresso blend in a 12 oz bag and are expanding our line of gourmet coffees soon. For a limited time, shipping is free on this product no matter how much your total order is.
