Coffee grown on La Minita Estate is the most sought after coffee in all of Costa Rica. The Tarrazu region, which this coffee is grown is known to produce a heavy coffee with more of an aromatic complexity.
This coffee is grown between four thousand and six thousand feet on a coffee plantation with a unique micro climate. The initial harvest is around one million pounds and after 30,000 man hours of hand selection the final bagged product is 289,000 pounds. This reflects a selective process when it comes to La Minita Tarrazu.
La Minita's goal is to produce a perfect balanced coffee with a sweet aroma, full body, great acidity, and a clean aftertaste, and with zero impurities to detract from the senses.
